I bought this car (affectionately known as ratty) just over a year ago as a little project. It was a bog standard Polo Coupe that looked a bit tired and needed some TLC to bring it back to life. During the time I've owned it I've thrown a bit of money at it for the following work:
New cam belt
New fan belt
New petrol tank
New distributor
New fuel pump
New fuel filter
MOT to October 2016
Lowered suspension
ATS Cup alloy wheels (still have the original 13' steel wheels)
Scirocco GT front seats which match the existing trim of the car
Cherry bomb backbox and exhaust mods
Yellow headlamps
6x9 speakers in a custom built shelf (still have the original parcel shelf)
Finished in Matt Grey paint
I'll be sad to see it go because it's been a fun little car to work on, there are always people smiling at it and commenting on it when I'm driving it, the green wheels also seem to draw a lot of attention! The car starts first time, every time and would drive anywhere, it doesn't over heat, even in traffic the needle happily sits just below the 90 degree mark and when driving drops right down to around 70 degrees. It's cheap to run with it only being a 1.3 and always puts a smile on my face when I drive it. I'm selling because I can't afford to run two cars. This will make a great little car for someone and for a 23 year old car it's in pretty good condition.
