Hi all, some oiling mods advice required please! I've got everything ready to put my 2276 longblock together - hot street with IDAs, msd6 al2 (the laptop progammable one), webcam 86b, 9.5:1 comp, steve timms stage 2 (42×37) heads, deep sump, full flow etc on an as41 case with shadek 30mm oil pump going off to a remote filter and fan assisted cooler.
I've been reading about Bob Hoover mods, especially on John Maher's website and Vincent's 2165 build on the samba. I suppose I want to know, before I start assembly, how critical you guys think these sort of mods are for a hot street/occasional strip car that will only be used at weekends? Am I likely to get, say, 2 or 3 times bearing life than a standard as41 case? Do the valve train mods really benefit the rockers and head temperatures that much? Are these mods worthwhile, or are there other tricks you guys use/recommend?
Thank you for spending your afternoon reading my question! Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Cheers
