I've got a 2.0T Scooby sat in the barn next to my Beetle ready to go, but I'm facing the constant thoughts that I should do something more spectacular.
It's a 70' 1300 that's not really original, but I've had it a long time and I've decided to go down the very expensive route when money allows, of acid dipping etc, I want this concourse, and to be very special. Mainly for drag days, pootling around, and the occasional hill climb too.
I was thinking down the route of a 2JZ, and wondering if anyone has ever gone to these depths, and the issues they've come across? In addition I've been searching the internet for info on a 4WD conversion?
I know it will be a ridiculously complicated, long and expensive conversion, but I think the power would be amazing, I just don't want a bug that wheelies every time you launch it (a little lift is fine but none of this pointing to the sky stuff). I'm thinking sequential box etc.
