Late 60's -Early 70's RHD Karmann Beetle wanted as project.

Looking to start a new project on a Karmann Beetle. The wife always wanted a Beetle and I wanted a kit car so we have settled on doing a resto/mod on a Karmann Beetle. On a budget so looking for a project car not a finished article. What sort of price is acceptable guys and any ideas where I can go to get a legit car.
