business/Public Liability Insurance

I normally gr this as fyear at a ume, but as I work irregularly now I wondered if anyone managed to buy it a month at a time? Last year I paid for 12 months at £450 and used it for just 9 weeks. I let it lapse but I need to get covered again, posibly only short term.

So do any of you self employed folk manage some more convenient cover?
