VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO VR6 2.9 very rare colour MOT Oct 2016 £2499 (battery light on, please read on)

I am thinning out my 'retro' stable so will be offering several vehicles for sale soon. However for now, here is my VW Corrado VR6 2.8 1994 L reg, 159k, MOT Oct 2016.

The Corrado, particularly the VR6, has become a 'modern classic' and prices are rising fast. This car could be your daily driver and also an investment, it will not lose money.
This car sold recently for £2700 but the battery light came on the day before collection, so I was obliged to cancel the sale. I do not have the time or inclination to fix this as I already have a new car, so I have reduced the price accordingly and the new owner can sort it. If I do get around to fixing it before the sale then the price will go back up to £2700 (I think I have a spare alternator in the garage somewhere and if and when I find it, it will come with the car).
This was a daily driver, so runs very well with no known issues other than as stated, i.e. the battery light has just come on (suspected alternator fault but could be something simpler?). It is a good, solid, fast and reliable car and sounds lovely.
It is the quite rare ice grey violet metallic.
Full heated grey leather
Nice double din music system with cd player and memory card slot
Porsche alloys, fill the arches nicely and the car sits very well
Lots of old MOT's and bills/paperwork. Ding on nsf wing, easy repair and a few very minor scabs, nothing serious.

Plus points:
Original paint in an unusual and quite rare Corrado colour.
Unmessed with car with only a couple of tasteful mods.
Porsche wheels with adaptors.
Nice grey heated seats, full leather interior with very minor
wear on the drivers bolster
It drives lovely and has a beautiful engine note, no nasty
knocks or rattles.
Good starter and a reliable daily.
Full closure alarm and two key fobs
Spare key.
Very nice doube din music system
Owners wallet with some history and loads of previous bills.
Every thing works including the sunroof and spoiler (not sure
about aircon though)
Recent work includes both rear abs sensors replaced and door
handle repair kits fitted to both doors.
It's a nice honest straight and reliable car that car be driven 'as is' or would benefit from a little tlc to make mint.
Please note: The car has been totally reliable and looks stunning but there are some other areas apart from the battery light that would benefit from a bit of tlc if perfection is your thing, it's all down to personal preference (I haven't bothered) - The n/s front wing has a ding where the previous owner hit a deer (imho it will be a simple straighten out with 'dentmaster'), there are minor scabs on the front wings and on one door bottom and there are some little scratches on the sunroof. There is also an area of laquer peel on the roof near the rear tailgate (why only there I don't know). This isn't at all bad, but I am just being honest and trying to make sure that I cover everything.

Although the car was pretty dirty when the pics were taken, the colour is amazing and I gather pretty rare. I'm no expert but the only non stock items I can see are the air filter, the Momo steering wheel, and the rather snazzy music system. It also has a shark fin DAB aerial, but that needs an adaptor to be connected up (few quid on ebay?).

The LT van has already been sold.
Please remember that if I fix the battery light issue then the price is £2700 and not the £2499 stated sold 'as is'. (btw - that's still very cheap for a VR6 Corrado) so grab yourself a bargain now.
