Engine Help needed with a new project

Hi all,

This is my first air cooled project and I have to admit I'm a little lost. I've got a 70 rat look Beetle to join in with my mom golf and Corrado so a complete change for me!

Right so far I've dropped out the buggered 1.2 that was there when I got it and I've got a rebuilt 1.6 ready to go in. My problem is I have no idea what box will do the job or which clutch I should be using.
