Cooling route

Right Engines in my Beetle and i'm looking at routing the coolant hoses.

I'm fitting Stainless steel 38mm tube down the centre of the car (either side of the spine) and am looking for proven cooling pipe runs that aren't a pain in the arse bleeding.

The heater matrix will be installed at the front of the car and the header tank in the rear of the car, being the highest point in the system

Has anyone routed their hoses as these diagrams courtesy of Vanagon and their respective owners. Recommendations welcome !
