£195 Starting Bid!

A remarkably solid 1967 Beetle, which I've had dry stored for 15 years. I've started the restoration but i'll be emigrating in a month so alas time has run out. These 67 'Sloping Headlight' Beetles are unique and particularly sought after due to it being a transition year from the old style to the new style of Beetle (Known as the 'One year only' Beetles), hence several 'one year only' features such as the unique style of engine lid. Nicely restored this could be worth around £7k.

The only panels that I've replaced (Aside from three of the wings) were the two 'rear quarter lower' ones. The heater channels and chassis are very solid and they have been treated and painted in waxoyl black undercoat. There are a couple of small areas left to attend to though, such as the left running board mounting plate and a small patch required over some corrosion in the battery tray.

There are three new wings on the car, and one solid original. The bonnet and engine lid are in excellent condition.

The gearbox is good, and the engine still turns freely. The car was a runner when I bought it.

Although I've tried to keep all the original parts with the car I cannot be sure absolutely everything is there, but aside from the parts mentioned above most of the stuff is there. If theres anything in particular you cant see then please message me and I'll go and check.

I am based near Reading (Off the M4, only a few miles from Stonor Park) so please feel free to come and view, or message me for more pictures. The winning bidder will be required to pay 100 pound deposit within 24 hours of auction ending, and no haggling after that so make sure you come and see it or ask for more info before you bid if in any doubt!

I have a trailer so can deliver within 100 miles of Reading (Use Google maps fastest route). The delivery charge will be £1.75/mile and it will need to be collected/delivered within one week of auction end.
